Uthando Lwe Nkosazana is a film script that was developed by Itumeleng Pitje and Kalalesto "Welly" Mataboge. There are a number of reasons why we are motivated to make this film, the first reason is the fact that it is a story that attempts to build a bridge between modern day times and the perspective of old discourses in African society by merging the two worlds through creating scenarios where the two discourses clash.

Through the film, we want to pay homage to old, traditional customs of African society by addressing these customs strengths and shortcomings. Furthermore, we want to also address the millennial generation and emphasize the importance of knowing these traditional African customs in order for our children, in future , to have a sense of identity and not completely immerse themselves in the ways of the 'west.
